The workshop was an Introduction to Systems Engineering, Team Work techniques, Agile Development and the CAFCR Method in particular.  Topics included:

  • Understanding of the importance of the role of the System Architect, its position in the product development process and it's responsibilities.

  • Introduction to some Project Management concepts, Different product development process models (V-Model etc..), the phases of big projects. The importance of stakeholder feedback. Concurrent Engineering.

  • Teamwork tools: SCRUM, Agile Development...​

Personal Contribution: Lecture Attendance, Participation in the CAFCR Method implementation.

Obtained Results: Draft of a CAFCR Iteration, basic understanding of the CAFCR method

Supervisory Control Synthesis

The workshop laid the basics of Supervisory Control and introduced the concept of automatic synthesis of supervisors based on requirements.  Including:

  • Self-study on the basic theory

  • Lectures on the topic

  • Introduction to CIF3 - Supervisory Synthesis tool

  • Automatic synthesis of an ACC state machine with CIF3
